House impeachment managers are now claiming that former President Donald Trump secretly planned the riot by conspiring with right-wing-radical groups such as The Proud Boys.
Delegate Stacey Plaskett claimed that Trump communicated with some of the same Proud boys that were present at the Capitol Hill riot.
Plaskett also claims that Trump and his aide monitored right-wing message boards, and were aware and even claims that Trump and his aides approved of violent messages being displayed.
Plaskett conveyed no hard evidence of actual coordination between Trump and these groups.
Plaskett claimed she saw members of the mob were wearing “earpieces” during the melee.
Rep. Madeleine Dean claimed that Trump had spread violent messages in rallies leading up to Jan. 6.
Dean claimed, “He’d assembled thousands of violent people, people he knew were capable of violence, people he had seen be violent.”
She then claimed he “lit the fuse and sent the angry mob to fight the perceived enemy.”
Dean acknowledged that Trump instructed the crowd to march “peacefully and patriotically,” but argued that he had only said it once, while he had used the word “fight” many more times.
